Why I love To Teach:
I teach for joy and community. With a busy day job in Finance, teaching Pilates allows me to access my creative side and to share my passion for health and wellness whilst creating authentic mind-body connections.

Training/Certifications:
Pilates Certification at Pilates Sports Center, Jikiden Reiki Certification with the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto, Japan.

My Teaching Style:
My style is flexible, focused and from the core. I will adapt to whatever your body needs on the day. I care about the quality of your session and will keep you present in the work. I believe core is king; I will help you to connect to and move from your deep core.

My Favorite Things:
I am happiest when I am active and outdoors, whether it be hiking, running, walking my dog at the beach or trying a new class – I like to keep it moving. The farmers market is also one of my happy places; there’s nothing better than feeling the vitality of a healthy lifestyle and nutrition is a key part of that. When I need to rest and
recharge a little, you’ll find me at the spa!

Pilates, Da Vinci BodyBoard, Yoga, Boxing, Bootcamp, Circuit Crossfit… it’s all about balance!

Inspirations:
I am fascinated by the mind-body connection, I believe the body wants to thrive and that healthy
movement can help to heal mind, body and soul. I love learning about our amazing, smart, incredibly forgiving bodies.

I am inspired when I see the body start to recover from injury or dysfunction. There is so much to learn, from a
physical, emotional and energetic perspective, and that inspires me to continue to teach and in doing so, learn.

My teaching style:
Hands-on and individualized while always centered on connection of breath and healthy movement. I also enjoy using visualization to enhance understanding of anatomy.

My group classes are:
Focused on accessibility for a variety of clients. Anyone with any amount of experience can walk in and learn something, get stronger, and feel better. Emphasis is on building stretch, balance, mind-body connection, flow of movement and breath.

Why I love To Teach:
I have a love for anatomy and physiology and I love to share this information with clients as they work through various issues with this movement modality. I love to see the progress that each client makes through every session, this work is magic and to see how people transform is very inspiring!

GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® Level 1 and 2, GYROTONER®, Jumping Stretching Board, Explorations into the Extremes with Abel Horvath, CPR, EMR, Pre-med sciences

My Teaching Style:
I prefer to watch the client move prior to starting various movements on the equipment so I can prepare each session with maximum benefit for each client. There are so many movements to choose from with the various sculptural machines. I like to plan ahead so each session runs smoothly, caring to the needs and wishes of each client and their goals. I love communication and having an open dialogue with each client so I am aware of any physical limitations or challenges.

Specialized Areas of Expertise:
I love working with athletes as well as people who may be recovering from an injury or illness. My first intention was to go to medical school, but when I found Gyrotonic, I chose to take a different path. Realizing that I could use this method to help people, I chose not to become a doctor.

My Favorite Things:
Nature and hiking long distances alone, riding horses, traveling the world, dancing tango, food and eating healthy, moving my body, friendship and music.

Not only do I love taking dance classes and Gyrotonic courses, I love constantly striving to increase my mental capacity for learning. I attend courses regularly in anatomy, physiology, psychology, various sciences, as well as having a master’s degree in art and dark room film photography.

Nature, movement, change and transformation, art, the creative spirit, and the sharing of one’s abilities and skills with the world in order to make this place a more beautiful place for all living things.
